Top Photo is the 1959 Blue Ridge 1 basketball champs.  Shown on the front row left to right are: Doug (Tarzan) Wilder, Costello (Cos) Benning, Bruce Martin and Gleason (The Fly) Arnett.  On the back row are: Bill Hall, Robert Adkins, Roger (Red) Leggett and Ron (Flash) Atkinson.

 

   The bottom photo is the 1960 Dana 1 football champs: Front row left to right: Glen Mills, Bruce Martin, Monty Chappell, Don Smith,Dennis Herd, Bobby (Pinky) King, and Costello (Cos) Benning.  The back left to right: Andy Gibbs, Gerhard Tauscher, Todd Repass, Al Martin, Ron (Flash) Atkinson, Kenneth Sapp, Vince Ross and Willard (Buddy) Ratliff.  The football from that game was placed in the cornerstone at the dedication of Dana Hall right after the game.
